Lynch Architects - about us

Lynch architects is an award winning practice based in London. We were recipients of Building Design’s Young Architect of the Year Award 2005-6 and were exhibited in the Irish Pavilion at the Venice Architectural Biennale 2008. We've lectured at a number of prestigious institutions including Cooper Union, The University of Pennsylvania, Trinity College Dublin, Cambridge, Edinburgh and the Bergen Association of Architects. Our clients include Land Securities, Multiplex, Hammerson, Urban Splash, various local authorities and a number of private clients.

We’ve been working on much bigger projects recently, but our work ranges from individual houses and residential and commercial developments to arts and community projects. We are interested in working at a variety of scales and pay close attention to the social, ecological, historical and economic aspects of places. We work with physical models to investigate the spatial, constructional, formal and material qualities of architecture, and digital photography enables us to make images that place our designs into context. We believe that good design derives from the search for a poetic economy of means.
